Prof Dr. Zarfishan Tahir (BPS-20) has started her career as a demonstrator pathology department after her MBBS and later completed her M.Phil in microbiology. She joined Institute of Public Health and served there as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor of Microbiology. She has the privileged to work as focal person PRL lab for TB, AIDS and Malaria. She is a member of technical advisory committee in Malaria control program and also served here as consultant quality assurance. She is member of academic council of UHS and IPH. She is also consultant of Punjab Health care commission. She was trained in Indonesia and Japan for TB, in Vanderbilt University USA on research methodology and in Egypt she got training on molecular techniques. She is one of very few who have accomplished her PhD in public health.


She has 25 publications and 12.9 impact factor.
